The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine (PACCM) at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is seeking scientists at the level of Research Instructor, Research Assistant Professor, and Research Associate Professor, outside the tenure stream.. Attractive resources are available to establish a vibrant research program. The PACCM supports active basic and clinical research programs in asthma, COPD, cystic fibrosis, sleep disorders, ILD, and ARDS/ALI.

Qualified Applicants must have an MD, DO, Ph.D. degree, and research interest in Pulmonary, Allergy, Sleep, and Critical Care Medicine. Academic rank is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

General rank requirements: A research Instructor should have demonstrated teaching ability, experience in advanced study and research, or professional experience of a kind that would enable them to make an academic contribution. A research assistant professor will have a strong experience with an impactful scholarship, a local, regional, and developing national reputation, effectiveness as a teacher, and service. A research associate professor level should have attained superior stature in their field through scholarship, professional practice, and leadership in professional and learned organizations.
