The Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences invites applications for one 12-month faculty position as either a Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor rank; OR Assistant/Associate Professor of Professional Practice to serve as Doctoral Capstone Coordinator (DCC) for the developing entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program at Texas Christian University (TCU).
The responsibilities for the Doctoral Capstone Coordinator (DCC) include developing, organizing and managing the Capstone Experience and Project components of the OTD curriculum; teaching within area of expertise; supervising professional occupational therapy capstone students and participation in departmental and other institutional service activities supporting the academic missions of the University. Prior experience as a Doctoral Capstone Coordinator with post-baccalaureate teaching responsibilities preferred.
Tenure-Track Faculty Qualifications: Successful applicants will have strong written and interpersonal communication skills, the ability to maintain an active research/scholarship agenda and teaching proficiency within their area of expertise supporting the developing entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program at Texas Christian University (TCU).
Professional Practice Track Faculty Qualifications: Successful applicants will have strong written and interpersonal communication skills and teaching proficiency within their area of expertise in support of the developing entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program at Texas Christian University (TCU).
Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Texas and have earned a Doctoral degree (OTD, PhD, EdD or equivalent). Prior experience supervising Doctoral Capstone Experiences and Projects is preferred. Salary and rank will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
