Job Summary

This position exists to provide academic support to SU students through CSA initiatives. To support student learning and success by coordinating day-to-day operations of the peer tutoring and Supplemental Instruction programs to include hiring, training, supervision, observation and evaluation of 55-85 peer leaders each semester. Assist with data collection and analysis for peer led academic support programs. Support student success initiaties from recruitment to commencement. Coordinate and manage CSA marketing and social media initiatives.  

Authority and Accountability

This position reports to the Director, Center for Student Achievement. The position has 1-2 graduate student’s direct reports and 55-85 undergraduate direct reports. This position works closely with the Director to ensure that peer leader hiring, training and equipment does not exceed the budget allocation.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required; Master's preferred in higher education, student personnel administration, curriculum and instruction or related field. Work experience in a learning center in higher education or other relevant experience in higher education required. Graduate Assistant experience included in 1-3 years experience. Experience in coordinating, developing, planning and monitoring aspects of peer led academic support programs; recruiting, training and evaluating undergraduate-level staff required. Familiarity with CRLA certification and assessment tools required.  Knowledge of on-line data tracking systems (i.e.Navigate360, Canvas, Peoplesoft preferred). Some evening and weekend work required.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional organization certifications (CRLA, UMKC certifications), familiarity with Navigate360. A willingness to attend SI Supervisor Training at the International SI Center at UMKC or online training facilitated by UMKC International SI Center.

This is a full-time exempt position with a full benefits package.  Salary will be comensurate with qualifications & experience.
