DEPARTMENT: Campus Services
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm with occasional weekend coverage for events.
REMOTE WORK ELIGILITY: No
HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR: 35 hours/week and 52 weeks/year

GENERAL PURPOSE
- Manages and performs mail room operations to include daily pick up of letters & parcels, postal metering, and acts as liaison with UPS, FedEx, USPS, and Amazon.
- Receives, scans, and deliver all packages to the Molloy Community. Provide professional, courteous and effective service to all customers, including students, employees and outside customers.
- Act as back up to the Spirit Store.
- Processes, sorts, scans, and delivers mail & packages.
- Weighs and meters all outgoing letters and parcels.
- Operates and maintains mail room equipment, supplies and tracks all departmental postal.
- Provide professional, courteous and effective service to all customers including students and employees. Assist with all mailing needs.
- Work directly with departments concerning any questions or mail room issues. Research mailing errors and handle any disputes with UPS, Fed Ex, USPS and Amazon. Research more effective mail room operations that will improve service and improve cost savings. Process mailing permits and orders for departments.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports and reconcile cost of monthly departmental mailings.
- Schedule and direct work study students and volunteers/coaches.
- Act as a backup for Spirit Store activities, including register duties and replenishing store room floor. Perform all other duties as assigned or requested by supervisor
- Some College
- 3 to 5 years of work-related experience
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- UPS, Worldship/FedEx, Ship Manager
- Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly rate for this position is $18 to $21/hour. This hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
