Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Department of Clinical Therapeutic Programs at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position OR a 9-month, non-tenure-track Lecturer position for Academic Year 2024-2025. The position begins August 2024.

The position serves the Communication Sciences and Disorders program. It requires certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Kentucky licensure (or immediate eligibility) in Speech-Language Pathology. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program.

**Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Rank**
Applicants eligible for the tenure-track Assistant Professor position should hold an earned doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. ABD applicants may be considered but must have a doctoral degree (verified by official transcripts) at the time of appointment. In addition to teaching in a 4/4 annual teaching load, the successful candidate will maintain an active scholarly agenda, conduct academic advising, and participate in service to the department, college, university, and community. In addition, memberships and participation in state, regional, national, or international professional organizations is recommended.

**Non-Tenure-Track Lecturer**
Applicants eligible for the non-tenure-track Lecturer position should hold an earned master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. In addition to a 5/5 annual teaching load, the successful candidate will participate in service to the department, college, and university.

All specialties will be considered; however, applicants with expertise in the following areas are preferred: neurogenic communication disorders (e.g. aphasia, traumatic brain injury, motor speech disorders) and experience with telepractice service delivery and/or underserved populations.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

**Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Rank**

**Non-Tenure-Track Lecturer**
Earned master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment.

    Licensure & Certifications:
