Frontgate | Avon: a brand new state of the art building, with a wealth of first-class amenities is looking for an Engineer 2 to join our team of professionals! The first phase of Frontgate is built and brand new, needing only preventative maintenance. The second phase is currently under construction and will be ready in November. This offers a unique opportunity for an Engineer 2 to have fewer hands on repairs, while maintaining a new building and supporting the construction of the building. The Engineer 2 position is integral to ensuring the optimal functioning, safety, and aesthetics of Frontgate Avon. This position is responsible for upkeep of various systems including, but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, pool and spas, and ground keeping. In this role you will assist in developing and implementing new maintenance protocols to maintain a comfortable and efficient environment for owners and guests while adhering to safety regulations and standards. Beyond routine maintenance tasks such as inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting, the position also involves coordinating with contractors, developing maintenance schedules, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies to prolong the lifespan of the building and its assets. Overall, role of the Engineer 2 is to preserve the integrity and functionality of the building, enhancing its overall value and ensuring a pleasant experience for all who interact with them.

Duties Include:
- Perform routine building maintenance tasks including daily checks of boiler and pool rooms.
- Ensure proper balance and coverage of pool and hot tub facilities, closing and covering them at the end of each day.
- Handle basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and drywall repairs as needed.
- Conduct maintenance on rooms and common areas, addressing HVAC systems, paint/stain, plumbing, light bulbs, and furniture.
- Undertake grounds work in all seasons and conduct pre-arrival engineering inspections.
- Respond promptly to work orders to address maintenance needs efficiently.

Job Start Date: ASAP
Employment Status: Full Time/Year Round
Pay Rate: $27-30/hr depending on experience + $1,000 sign on bonus! (1/2 paid after 45 days of successful work, 1/2 paid after 90 days of successful work)
Schedule: 2nd shift 2pm-10:00pm - great for the outdoor enthusiast - get outside before work! Five 8-hour shifts; must work Saturday and Sunday, but flexible with other days!
Minimum Requirements
- Good understanding of electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, HVAC and general building maintenance techniques or 2-5 years of prior commercial or residential experience - includes experience with a variety of tools and equipment such as fire protection systems and hand and power tools.
- Positive and consistent communication skills and ability to work alone as well as within a team
- 2-5 years working with commercial or residential pool and spas. (CPO certified a plus)
