POSITION: Director of Human Resources and Staffing
LOCATION: School Board Office
FMLA STATUS: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY: The job of the Director of Human Resources and Staffing was established for the purpose(s) of carrying forward the mission and vision of the school system by ensuring that all human capital initiatives are carried forward in an effective and efficient manner. The Director of Human Resources and Staffing plans, directs, and administers HR functions for the Division including but not limited to: Developing and monitoring HR procedures; Following HR related federal and state statutes and human relations; Interpreting employment contracts; Recommending all HR actions to the Superintendent; Assisting with employee benefits; assisting with employee evaluation procedures; recruiting and retaining staff, screening applicants; Planning and implementing all programs related to Human Resources and Staffing.

QUALIFICATIONS: Valid certification to meet state requirements with specific endorsement in the area to which assigned; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in human resource management (Master’s degree preferred). At least 4-5 years of professional and/or supervisory experience in human resource management, educational leadership and/or other related experience; Previous work experience that aligns with the Division’s need and goals; Track record of managing projects and initiatives that achieved or exceeded ambitious goals; Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism at all times in handling sensitive information, data and issues.
